John Scott studied with yogi Shri K Patthabi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in India where he qualified to teach Ashtanga Yoga around the world. He has taught in Oregon, USA as well as opening his own Ashtanga school in his New Zealand homeland. In 1995, John moved to England with his wife, Lucy, and in 1997 opened Ashtanga London. He has instrcuted many people in Ashtanga Yoga, including high-profile celebreties Madonna and Sting. John and Lucy have recently established teh Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Retreat Centre in Cornwall, UK, where they are now based.
